    The Only Guarantee

As I begin to write this email/blog today, I am reflecting on the hurricane “Irma” that came through our area on September 10th.  The one good thing about hurricanes, you have plenty of time to prepare but the one bad thing about hurricanes is they are slow moving and it takes forever for them to come and go. As we prepared for this hurricane, we did all we knew to prepare the house, outdoor furniture, have plenty of food, batteries, radio and on and on. And while we were as prepared as we could be humanly speaking, it was up to the Lord on the rest. So we sat on that Sunday night patiently waiting for this storm to pass through and as we lost electricity and the winds began to gust up to 100 mph, I began to second guess our decision to be at home. Then the Holy Spirit reminded me, that God was in control and it would all be okay.

My devotion that morning came back to my mind about the peace God gives and the only guarantee we have in life is our relationship with Him. I would like to share that devotion with you and pray it will be a blessing to you.

I am always available to you. Once you have trusted Me as your Savior, I never distance Myself from you. Sometimes you may feel distant from Me. Recognize that as a feeling; do not confuse it with reality. The Bible is full of My promises to be with you always. As I assured Jacob, when he was journeying away from home into unknown places, I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go. My last recorded promise to My followers was: Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Let these assurances of My continual Presence fill you with Joy and Peace. No matter what you may lose in this life, you can never lose your relationship with Me.

I am so thankful that no matter what we go through there is one guarantee: He will NEVER leave us and He knows what is best for us. And no matter what we may lose here on this earth, we will not lose our relationship with Him.

We are here to help you in any way we can on your ministry journey.

Help us continue providing resources of care for pastors and their families.
