Our Problems Do Not Define Us

    Monday, February 06, 2017

I pray you had an awesome weekend and God did some amazing things at your church this past weekend.

I read a short devotional from Holly Gerth a few months ago that I thought was worth sharing and I pray it speaks to your heart:

“Whatever you’re facing today, it’s not your identity. Don’t let the enemy tell you otherwise.

You may be in a place of depression. But that is not who you are. You are a beloved daughter.

You may be in a place of weariness. But that is not who you are. You are a mighty warrior.

You may be in a place of loneliness. But that is not who you are. You are a woman who belongs.

How do you need to fill in that blank today?

I may be in a place of ______________. But that is not who I am. I am ______________.

Take a moment to take hold of the truth your heart needs.”

Our problems refine us but they don’t define us.

Don’t allow the enemy or circumstances to rob you of who you are in Christ. We are here to help; please allow us to come alongside you in any way possible.

Help us continue providing resources of care for pastors and their families.
