Orchestrating Attitude: Getting the Best from Yourself and Others

by Lee J. Colan (Author), & Julie Davis-Colan (Author)

Attitude has a powerful impact on how we experience life. In Orchestrating Attitude, Lee J. Cohan explores how choosing the right perspective can help us get the best from ourselves and others.

    The Power of Orchestrating Attitude

I have known this quote below for many years and go back to it for help when I am frustrated and weary. It helps center me into the reality of life; the parts I can control and the parts I can’t. It points back to me and what I can do in and about situations.

    A Timeless Perspective on Life

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.

I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me and ninety percent how I react to it.”

Why This Book Continues to Matter

This book Orchestrating Attitude is also something I have on my bookshelf, read periodically and share with others often. It is a book you can pick up and read through a chapter, or even a page and gain some good insight into how important our attitudes are for us and for those we interact with.

Choosing Positivity in a Negative World

This world throws a lot of negativities at us daily, but we can catch that negativity and turn it into something more positive with just our attitude about it.

I grew up being taught and modeled that there are not failures, but some things just don’t work out. You could argue that there are failures, but our attitude can change how we see those circumstances and move us forward.

    A Resource Worth Sharing

I encourage you to pick up this book and keep it handy, for yourself and for sharing with others.

    Happy orchestrating!
