    Kingdom Woman

    Monday, December 02, 2019

I love when generations can conspire to work together in unity and clarity of vision to create a work of value to those that take the time to investigate the creation brought forth by the dual effort.

Tony Evans and his daughter Chrystal have done just this in their book Kingdom Woman. They have worked together on each chapter giving voice to their own unique style of thought and word to create a dialog for us to listen in on.

While they come from two generations, they lived life together for a time under one roof thus enabling them to understand one another’s life and experiences and heart for God’s good plan.

They each speak in the language of their own generation, their own personal experiences and their own perspective. But they blend the message of God’s desire for us each to be Kingdom-minded and strive to bring honor and glory to God through the living out of God’s plan for our lives.

It is a quick-moving book that becomes a page-turner as we get a glimpse into their private life as dad and daughter and their spiritual journey, both separate and together, as their lives intercept.

This book can be read from cover to cover and processed by a sole reader or can be used as a book study for a small group. There is a video guide and study guide material available.

The forward by Priscilla, Tony’s daughter and his wife Lois are a lesson in itself. Chrystal and Tony each lay out a paragraph even before you begin the book. Their heart and vision are apparent as they pen their individual words with a common goal.

One of my favorite excerpts is below and comes in the early chapters of the book.

“When a kingdom woman’s alarm sounds each morning, the devil tries to hit her snooze button. He will do whatever he can to try and stop her from getting up and taking on a new day.” (From Tony’s writing)

    And this one too…

“Kingdom woman. Those words sound like some pretty high stilettos to walk around in all day.” (from Chrystal’s writing)

I hope you are inspired to pick up this book and begin your personal journey towards having the perspective and life as a Kingdom-minded woman. Grab your stilettos and start walking!
