    Fingerprints

    Wednesday, January 21, 2015

Fingerprints, we all have them. We all leave them behind. Each of us has fingerprints that are unique to us. Fingerprints are another evidence of how God in His great creativity created us with similarities, but also has created us with distinctive characteristics and differences.

Everywhere I go I leave fingerprints that out of the billions of people in this world no one will leave the same mark. Have you ever considered this great truth? Over my life time I have left my fingerprints in literally millions of places.

We are well into a new year and I find myself asking the question “what unique, God-designed spiritual fingerprints am I leaving behind?” What fingerprints are you leaving with your spouse, children, grandchildren, extended family, neighbors, church, community and the world? Wherever you go, whatever you do today, you will leave a mark of yourself behind.

Philippians 2:14-15 gives us a great challenge to consider: [14] Do everything without complaining or arguing. [15] so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.

The fingerprints of my life and yours will remain long after we are gone.

Help us continue providing resources of care for pastors and their families.
