Ron Cook

Ron and his wife Rodetta have actively served the Lord together in ministry for over 31 years, and are co-founders of Worthy Ministries International.  Ron graduated from Liberty University in 1979, was Senior Pastor of two churches in West Virginia from 1980-1988, and returned to Lynchburg, VA to complete his Masters Degree in Counseling.  He then served on the pastoral staff at Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg from 1989-1997.  Ron and Rodetta came to Florida to serve at First Baptist Church of Leesburg, and in April of 2000 he was called to be the Senior Pastor of “Southpointe Baptist Fellowship.”  Both Ron and Rodetta have a passion to minister to hurting pastors and their wives with the message that they are worthy.

Jeff Connors

Jeff is a local business owner that has many years of experience in coming alongside pastors and their wives to encourage them in their calling.  He and his wife Patty have a burning desire to serve the Lord in this area of ministry of Worthy Ministries.  They live in Okahumpka with two of their unmarried children.

Kathy Rivers

Kathy is a native Floridian.  She and her husband moved to Leesburg in March 2003, and joined Southpointe Baptist Fellowship in December of that same year.  Kathy served 30 years with the Miami-Dade Police Department Communications Bureau.  For the past six years she has served as the Treasurer of the Retired Police Officers Council.  Kathy accepted Christ 30 years ago and has been actively involved in Southpointe for the past three years and as secretary for Worthy Ministries.  She believes that “Our life is a gift from God, and what we do with that life is our gift to Him”, and that it is an honor to serve not only at Southpointe, but also with Worthy Ministries.

John Harling

John is a local business owner and he and his wife, Peggy, have been involved in ministry for the past 12 years.  John has a real passion for pastors as he and Peggy have been through many challenges themselves during their years of serving as lead pastor and wife.  They live in Leesburg with their two sons, John Michael and Matthew.
